KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)

WHAT IS KAP?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an innovative treatment that supports mental health by combining the therapeutic use of ketamine with professional psychotherapy. Ketamine is a medication recognized for its rapid antidepressant effects and its use as a safe anesthetic. On its own, ketamine has shown effectiveness for individuals with treatment-resistant depression, severe anxiety, suicidal ideation, and other mental health conditions. When integrated with psychotherapy, KAP can provide deeper insights, emotional breakthroughs, and longer-lasting positive outcomes for concerns such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

What to Expect in KAP Sessions

As a therapist trained in KAP, I work closely with clients before, during, and after ketamine sessions. Preparation and integration are key parts of the process:
- Preparation: We discuss your goals, concerns, and create a safe, supportive plan tailored to you.
- Medicine Session: Ketamine is administered in a controlled, comfortable setting. I provide guidance and support throughout the experience.
- Integration: After your session, we process insights and emotions together, helping you apply them in your daily life.
KAP may be appropriate for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, or feeling stuck after trying other therapies. If you’re interested in exploring whether KAP is right for you, I’m here to answer questions and support you on your healing journey.

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
